Kristen Williamson, Communications Director

Kristen Williamson is the Communications Director for the National Opportunity Project. As an experienced communications and marketing professional, Williamson directs NOP’s efforts to inform the public about government abuses and threats to Americans’ constitutional rights.

Before joining the National Opportunity Project, Kristen was Communications and Outreach Director at the Liberty Justice Center. There she directed the public interest law firm’s media, marketing, and client outreach strategies. Kristen coached attorneys and plaintiffs challenging government abuse to appear in the media. She regularly worked with national news outlets including Fox News, The Wall Street Journal, The Washington Post, C-SPAN and others to bring lawsuits to life for everyday Americans.

Kristen has served in a variety of marketing and media roles. Kristen was previously the press secretary and spokesperson for a nonpartisan, public interest organization of concerned Americans, united in the belief that our immigration policies and laws should again serve the nation’s future needs. In that role, she handled national media, engaged grassroots activists and managed large-scale events connecting media with congressional lawmakers, experts and law enforcement. Kristen also served as a press secretary and legislative aide for a member of the U.S. House of Representatives, and as a production assistant for the Washington Journal on C-SPAN.

Williamson holds a B.A. in Political Science and History from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, and an M.A. in International Affairs from The George Washington University.
